Judge as a jury member
Score entries fairly and quickly, or come back later for a second glance.
Before you start, you need
An organizer added you to a contest as a jury member - you get an email when that happens.
Nothing to install and nothing to accept. Your access is already active.
Find your contest
Open My Contests from your avatar menu. Contests you judge are listed under Jury Member with a Jury button next to them. The contest page itself also grows a Jury button in the top right once you have been added.
Contests you judge appear under Jury Member. The Jury button opens your scoring queue. Read the criteria first
Before you score anything, open the contest page and read the Scoring tab. It lists every criterion, what the organizer says it means, and how many points it is worth. The same descriptions sit next to each slider while you score.
The criteria, as the organizer defined them. Points per criterion tell you what matters most. Work through the queue
The jury page groups every entry by category. Each category has a progress bar and an "x / y scored" count, so you always know how much is left. Open a category and click Start scoring → to jump to the first entry you have not scored yet - or click any thumbnail to go straight to it.
Your queue. One section per category, with progress and a "Start scoring" shortcut. Look at the build properly
The scoring page puts the entry above the sliders: the photo, the title, the builder’s description, and any Flickr, Instagram or YouTube links they added. Click the photo to open it full size - worth doing before you judge the detail on a build shot from three metres away.
The entry as the jury sees it. Click the photo to enlarge; follow the links for more angles. Move the sliders
One slider per criterion, running from 0 to that criterion’s maximum. Each starts halfway up, so nothing is ever accidentally submitted as a zero - but it also means an untouched slider is a real score. Move every one of them deliberately. The number to the right shows the points you are handing out.
One slider per criterion, each with its description and its maximum in a badge. Save and move on
Click Submit Scores. A green confirmation appears and you are moved on to the next entry in the same category automatically. If you would rather steer yourself, the Previous and Next links at the top walk through the category in order, and the counter tells you where you are - "3 of 12".
Scores saved. If there is another entry after this one in the category, it opens by itself a moment later. Change a score
Nothing is locked in. Open an entry you have already scored and the sliders show what you gave it; the heading reads Update Scores instead of Score this Submission. Adjust and save again as often as you like - useful when the last entry in a category makes you realise you were too generous with the first.
Revisiting a scored entry. Your previous scores are loaded and can be changed. Keep track of what is left
Back on the jury page, the two dropdowns are your filters. The first narrows the grid to Unscored or Scored; the second sorts by highest or lowest score, or by what you scored most or least recently. Entries you have scored show their total in a green pill on the thumbnail.
Filter by scored or unscored and sort by score to spot outliers before you finish.
